Taking A Tour Around The 1980 Mego Batcave

This... is not mine. This belongs to a friend who is a sucker for vintage toys specifically on comic book superheroes stuff. What's astonishing about vintage collectors is that they always take you to a tour back in time just by allowing you to stay in their "collection room". The 1980 Mego Batcave had me drawn to stay longer and take photos on what's apparently just thin hard plastic assembled together to create Bats infamous hideout.

...and here's the kitchen.

Being the mainstream toy collecting guy such as myself never expected to like this figure... or rather playset. The feeling I got was more of an awe for this very old piece than amazement. Now I know why some collectors dig for these kinds.

Marvel Legends Captain America & Spider-Man Infinite Series: A Back to Back Feature

Everyone heard about it and now every Marvel Legends fan already has it! I mean, I bought and got it, of course because I am also a fan, but it took me almost 3 weeks to hunt them and catch them all. Now they are all over my room but I manage to separate them at their corners. My so-called "blue corner" is for my good ol' Cap and "red corner" is for my friendly neighborhood Spidey.

They all going to be reviewed between the month of February and March at my Action Figure Collection site. It is going to be all Marvel Legends and stuff for these months and I hope it doesn't bore you or bore me probably. I like the variety, you know.

Anyways, let the duel between these two valiant heroes begin!

Fan Event Attendance - 006: Toy Show In Mississauga

This was my weekend and the first ever toy show event I attended this 2014. My goodness, I miss this stuff! I think it's already like three months and a half since my last visit to this kind of event. Nothing much changed really; still I see some awesome toys, vintage or antique toys, pricey wallet-hurting toys, and just toys for all ages. But what really made me happy are the ones I've always wanted to see,... everything!

Maybe all I need to change is my camera.

Tekken Bishoujo: Ling Xiaoyu

It's Ling like you've never seen her before! Once a little Asian girl now turned into... umm... a healthier and "meatier" little Asian girl. While still retaining her translucent wristbands and her childish feature, this big girl don't cry nor shy away (not anymore) regardless of her minor skin exposure. Ling Xiaoyu is the latest Tekken Bishoujo statue designed by Shunya Yamashita, and if you love these beautiful and lovely girls who have appetites for ass whooping then Ling surely is a great addition.

Fun Fact: Ling appeared in the third instalment of the Tekken video games along with Jin.

Figures To Look Forward In 2014

Not only that I'll be on the watch for these guys but I'm gonna have them! This requires a lot of saving up and also some sacrifice (i.e. not ordering too much take-out meals). With these photos I'm presenting, it looked like there will be a new family that's going to join Combo's collection. Next year, we get to see some S.H. Figuarts action figures that will compete with my Marvel Legends and NECA figures. Excited?! Yes I am.

Nasty or Nice?

Santa Claus needs your help! He got four guys on his list that are, for some reason, extremely cool and radical but potentially ruthless and violent, and may destroy the Holiday spirit. It's probably been a week now that he still haven't decided whether he should come by their chimneys or not. Why can't it just be between a hero and a villain? Why these guys?!

Well... that's because the theme for this month of December are anti-heroes and guys with debatable reputations. Here are the four "Nasty or Nice Candidates", and sorry Santa, but you said you're checking us all... right?

1. Deadpool - he is arguably the world's most infamous anti-hero. He probably loves the Holidays like he loves his guns, grenades, his C4 explosive death traps, and his variety of knives and other shiny things that the law had prohibited you of. Among those shiny things is money! He should be called the merc with a mouth and money inside the head. His allegiance can't be determined but Deadpool can work for the good... that is if the benefits are good.

2. Predator - he is probably what you'll hope for if you get yourself trapped within Xenomorph territory. That saying from the movie might be true: "the enemy of my enemy is my friend". The Predator culture under human perspective may be a bit intense but they are who they are. Predators live by a code; killing only the strong while sparing the weak. Average Joes are more likely at the safer side.

3. Namor - not only that this guy is potentially nasty but he is a prick. An arrogant prick that you don't want yourself to be around with in a house party. The only thing that kept him from turning into a baddie is his infatuation to human women (i.e. Invisible Woman). Without that, this pretty boy can launch an army of fishmen from deep sea and strike fear to those he hates the most.

4. Silver Surfer - he simply got no other choice. You can't blame Norrin for his act by offering himself to the world-devourer just to save his planet from being devoured. As a herald of Galactus, he goes from planet to planet; directing his master to these planets, which his master thought is... food! So if you think that it's cool that we're being visited by an alien man dressed in silver spandex on a surfboard, bare in mind that what comes next ain't cool.
