A Comic Con With My Fiancé

Before we will be tying the knot and exchanging our vows, ...and will finally move to a new chapter in our lives and all that marriage stuff, I just showed this lovely lady one of the few places where geeks like me love to go- Comic Cons! Probably one of the biggest Con Events in Ontario with so many attendees, the Toronto Comic Con is where my fiancé discovered the source of my fanboyishness ...and badassery.

This is my second time to be at the Niagara Falls Comic Convention (June 6-8, 2014) and the amount of people attending this event is still sizeable. Still plenty of booths to choose from, a lot of interesting celebrities, and the cosplayers are fun to watch.

Now here is a well-spent Sunday morning in Toronto last March 9, 2014. The weather was fine and it was my weekend off- the "geek god" must have blessed me on this day.

This was my weekend and the first ever toy show event I attended this 2014. My goodness, I miss this stuff! I think it's already like three months and a half since my last visit to this kind of event. Nothing much changed really; still I see some awesome toys, vintage or antique toys, pricey wallet-hurting toys, and just toys for all ages. But what really made me happy are the ones I've always wanted to see,... everything!

Maybe all I need to change is my camera.

Fan Event Attendance - 005: Hamilton Brought Me Back To The Future

At the Hammer Town Comic Con 2013 event, past met present! This is how I remember what the DeLorean Time Machine looked like when I saw the movie on VHS 20 years ago, and last Saturday (October the 5th) was a dream come true for me to see an actual replica of one of Hollywood's iconic vehicles. It got the Flux Capacitor, Mr. Fusion, control boards, computer and everything, and it is drawing a lot of people. Having to drive only 8 minutes from home, I was very happy that they had this gorgeous car in Hamilton.

Fan Event Attendance - 004: Niagara Comic Con 2013 (Part 2 - Cosplayers and People)

Now here's Part 2, which covers cosplayers and celebrities, ...I mean- "a celebrity", and I really wished I was a little patient that day; going through the line up, getting some autographs from Mick Foley, David Prowse, Lou Ferrigno and others, ...and flicked some shots! But instead I got just one autograph plus a photo from this hot chick Kaya Jones, which was still cool. Nevertheless, I never came short with photos of people who were so nice; striking a pose in front of my camera. Conferences like this here can never be fun and entertaining without cosplays.

Fan Event Attendance - 004: Niagara Comic Con 2013 (Part 1 - Artworks and Replicas)

Here are some photos I got from the Niagara Comic Con last June 8th (Saturday) at Niagara Falls. I'd say, so far, that was the best comic/toy conference I've attended since I started being active in this kind of stuff. There will be another event this coming August (2013) but this time it will be in Toronto, so it will be just as fun as this one or could be better. I took some shots and went through every corner in this spectacular event, and I gotta tell ya, there are just a lot of cool stuff to see... and so I made this a two-parter! This is Part 1; statues, figures, dioramas, replicas, artworks and comics. Enjoy!
